Lifestyle blog 6: Three types of Negativity to get rid of in your life

 Hello, my lovely readers!

Negativity is something that I don't think we talk enough about in the sales world. It's easy to be rejected constantly as a salesperson, and it's even easier to take this rejection personally. That's why I want to talk about how to avoid negativity in your life to try to make your life a bit more positive overall. Negativity is something I struggle with occasionally, whether it's staying fit, feeling like I can't accomplish something or the pressure I put on myself. I've noticed that for me personally, negativity can easily creep up into my life. Knowing how negativity affects me, as well as things that may trigger an increase in negativity is important, and it allows me to work on my energy, mood, and outlook throughout the day. My tips on types of negativity to get rid of in your life will hopefully help you as well to start working on making your life and moods more positive, as well as see a more positive outlook on things. It's going to take work, there's no doubt about that, but there will be a pay-off in the end with an increase in positivity.

1. Get rid of Self-doubt

Self-doubt is common, but it's something that can easily be fixed. Just having confidence in who you are and what you do as a person, in your job, with your friends and family, can make a huge difference. Self-confidence can be hard to attain by yourself, so ask your friends and family to help. Being vulnerable and honest will bring you the support you need, and help you to get rid of self-doubt quicker than on your own.

2. Worrying

This is another type of negativity that may not seem like negativity. Spending time worrying about your circumstances, or about certain events in your life can be a waste of energy, especially if you don't have control over those events in the first place. Worrying drains energy and your mood and can cause you to be more irritable and tired. Do yourself a favor and worry only about what you can control, otherwise, don't worry at all.

3. Complaining

Complaining causes you to see your circumstances only in a negative light. This can cause you to forget about the positives, even in challenging circumstances. It can be hard to notice you're complaining or to decrease the amount of complaining you have, but it will help in the long run to focus your energy on the positives, and not the negatives.

There are plenty of more negativity triggers that are easy to get rid of, but I hope these three helped you to understand where your negativity is coming from, and how you can get rid of it in your life. Let me know if this was helpful at all, and if there is anything I missed.

Until next time,

Katie
